Trish Miller of Spherion will present to us the findings of the Spherion's 2009 Emerging Workforce Study. Spherion, along with the international polling firm Harris Interactive, have produced findings in 1997, 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2009 in the context of ongoing social and economic events. The studies uncovered different breeds of workers and began a revolutionary way of tracking and understanding the changing attitudes of the American workforce and the resulting implications for those who employ them.

In light of the 2008 economic downturn, the 2009 study brings new workplace strategies.

Trish Miller is the Owner/Branch Manager of Spherion in Goleta. Spherion is a recruiting and staffing industry. Trish brings 25 years of experience.

Attendees: We also welcome guests of HRACC members and non-members to the meetings. Members should make a reservation for themselves and any guests no later than the Thursday before the meeting by using this form. Non-Members should also use this form to make reservations.

Meetings with lunch are currently $20 for members with advance reservations; Members with late reservations are $25; Guests with lunch are $25; and Non-Members with lunch are $30. Meetings without lunch are currently $10 for members, guests, and non-members. Payment must be made at the door or via PayPal.

To cancel a previously-made reservation, contact our reservations chair. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to event.
