HRACC Meeting - Mid-Year Update on the California Division of Labor & Standards Enforcement Tuesday, September 14, 2010 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM Madonna Inn 100 Madonna Road San Luis Obispo, CA 93405
The CA Division of Labor Standards Enforcement enforces minimum labor standards in order to ensure employees are not required or permitted to work under substandard unlawful conditions, and to protect employers who comply with the law from those who attempt to gain competitive advantage at the expense of their workers by failing to comply with minimum labor standards. Its domain includes wage claims, investigation of discrimination and public works complaints, and enforcement of labor law and the Industrial Welfare Commission wage orders. Learn what issues the DLSE is dealing with and hear about any changes in enforcement – our speaker will pick up where she left off in May, arming us with the knowledge we need to manage successful HR departments. Joni D. Kellermann, Deputy Labor Commissioner, Dept. of Industrial Relations, Div of Labor Standards Enforcement returns to speak on the California Division of Labor & Standards Enforcement.
