Art Aguilar
Owner, San Luis Personnel Services
 
Art Aguilar has been principal and owner of San Luis Personnel Services since 1991.  Prior to purchasing San Luis Personnel Services, Art worked in the retail industry for more than 20 years.  He was respected for his ability to train store managers and district managers for higher level positions.  He was also known for his training and stand-up comedy.  He continues to conduct many in-house training seminars at SLPS, emphasizing operations and math.
 
Art has been involved in many SLO community activities including Kiwanis and United Way.  He has made presentations at industry conferences and for various service organizations.
 
He is a Certified Staffing Consultant with the American Staffing Association.

Come hear Former SLO City Manager, Ken Hampian, engagingly detail the horror stories from the City of Bell, and share his words of wisdom and warning to HRACC members. He was "volunteered" to assist the city of Bell recover from the fiduciary disasters that left them without leadership or trust and, and was appointed the Acting Chief Administrative Officer for a 30-day period, beginning in the summer of 2011. Ken, who was San Luis Obispo's city manager from 2000 to 2009, retired in 2011 after 20 years at City Hall, with a total of 35 years in local government.
